Here are some of the things I have been loving this month:
Fleece-lined leggings (the material is called super plush) and wool socks are the warmest things to wear. Also, I am loving the dress I am making out of this material. Large-scale print for the win!
I love the idea of this I-Spy quilt from Kitchen Table Quilts. And this pixilated heart quilt tutorial. I think I might try making one for Nora’s room in our next house. Of course I love making baby headbands, too. They take a tiny piece of fabric, a scrap, really, and they are just so cute!
I loved the #DeclutterLikeAMother challenge. It’s once a year (so bummer if you missed it!), but it was so helpful to have a guide for our pre-move cleanout. Along the same lines, Tidying Up With Marie Kondo on Netflix is fantastic and so motivating. I folded the clothes in my dresser using the KonMari method and I kind of love it.
I haven’t been making many new recipes because we are trying to finish up the food we have, but one recipe I make over and over again is this tikka masala, but with fish instead of chicken. Tim asks for it constantly!
We are using the heck out of the Noah’s toddler-sized airbed since we moved him into Nora’s room. They still take naps separately, though, so his airbed has been so useful. We are also going to send it on ahead so he has something to sleep on in America.
Along more practical lines, the Zillow property site and Google Maps, specifically street view, have been amazing. I mean, how great is it that we can check out and get a feel for neighborhoods from across the world? And of course, I have been looking up libraries, Trader Joe’s, and fabric stores that are close to houses we are looking at. I’m pretty thankful for technology!
